Avoid this disgusting hellhole at all costs. It advertises online at a popular parking-related site with a cheap day coupon for $13, but if you lose the coupon or the coupon code, WATCH OUT! You will get NAILED for a ridiculous rate of $36 or more and the parking attendants won't help you out. I ...More asked one of unhelpful, smirking attendants for his name and he replied, "Elvis." Yeah, right, "Elvis," sure. These uncooperative and unpleasant creeps should be wearing nametags. Also, there is no easy or clean or obviously safe way to walk out of the garage after you've parked, or back in when retrieving your car. You have to walk through a narrow driveway area that also seems to double as some kind of auto elevator. That doesn't seem safe to me. Or you can walk through a filthy, dank, grimy pit of an employee service area and push open a very heavy metal door. I hate driving in the city and I take the subway 99.99999% of the time -- I would not have resorted to this extreme measure if I hadn't been dealing with a disabled elderly family member. We didn't deserve to get ripped off. We should have gone a little further east to one of the many places where you don't need a coupon to get a good day rate of about $9-$13, like on E. 74th between 1st and 2nd or on E. 90th or 91st between 1st and York, although I haven't tried those places and hopefully will never have to. For all I know they might rip you off too. Take the subway instead, if you can!

Typical Manhattan parking garage. Reasonable rates for UES. Very nice staff. I park here monthly and prefer it to the other places in the area. Clean garage and never had any damage to my car. Always prompt and polite. The previous reviewer Ike has obviously never parked in Manhattan if he's co ...Moremplaining about driving through a car elevator area or if he is thinking that there are places in that neighborhood especially that will only charge you $7.. And there is a safe walkway if you aren't too dumb to see it- its right next to the car elevator. Oh, and BTW- the guy's name is Elvis. Kind of racists if you think a Hispanic guy can't be named Elvis... You should probably crawl back under the rock you came from Ike H..
