Bad experience. Have been a loyal U-Haul customer for years. Was planning to rent a cargo van for a month and parked in what I thought was the only open spot available behind the building. Was rudely asked to move - 'just park in the handicapped spot' by an employee with a mouth full of food ...More. I refused. Parked in a legal spot. I walked in front door and encountered two young men who could not have been more full of attitude - rude and indifferent would be an understatement. It was almost like I was bothering them. Wow!

Only writing on here because I asked to pick up from middletown and they informed me I could only pick up from avenel, which is about five minutes from where I needed to drop off!!!! That really added to our time crunch to begin with, and on top of that showed up to avenel right at 930 like they ...More said and they were 20 minutes late. Never using uhaul again.

This review is for trailer hitches/wiring. I went to use my hitch for the second time over a two year period and none of my trailer lights would work. LEDs on the connector would light only when the trailer wasn't connected - which indicates a load problem. When my wife brought the car in and to ...Moreld them exactly what was going on, they hooked it up to a trival tester and all all was fine. Of course it still didn't work. When I called to complain they said I could make an appointment for two weeks later and pay for new wiring! Luckily I have a 20 year old van and all the trailer light worked fine with that, which saved my weekend trip. I chose Uhaul due to price and reputation, but not worth it. Shop elsewhere.

Called several times to confirm my pickup at this location. No one answered after several attempts so I had to drive over in person. Three guys working there, no one can answer a phone?

Had a bad experience with this In regards to a container box. At first I was told that a confirmation call would be done to confirm the time of the drop off of the box. That was never done. And then when we were trying to get info on the day of no one was able to give us a straight answer. After ...Morewards we were told there would be a delay because of traffic and then were told the drop off would be on the next day because the truck broke down. I would call to see what could be done to help me out and would be forwarded time and time again. Was really frustrating. Thankfully when going to the U-Haul itself the manager and one of the employees, jay, were really respectful, helpful and understanding. If it wasn't for them no stars would be given.
