This is an excellent outfit. Friendly people. I rent a cargo van there every week and they are brand new. Every one has 800-1100 miles on them. Killer air conditioning, clean, beautiful. We came here for the convenience since it's closer to my house and the desk guy was very rude when we told him and un-accommodating. We were never told about the deposit fee and came in here thinking it would be a set price and instead were told about the deposit fee and asked if we still wanted ...More to be charged. Before we gave a for sure answer, I checked my debit account and saw that it was already charged and my account had overdrafted. Easy to get a truck but don't come here for the service.
While the use of their truck had no major issues (except one, read on) the customer service could use a big boost here. When we walked in, we noticed one of their employees was busy reading reviews online. However he had no interest in talking to customers. I wonder how that will go over....oh ...Morehere we are now. The other man that was working the counter wasn't very helpful at all. I asked what the differences between the sizes of the trucks are in the parking lot so I could go outside to see how much bigger one is to the other and he simply said "one is bigger than the other." I asked him "How can I tell by looking at the ones in the parking lot such as the gross weight on the outside of the vehicles?" Again all I got was a simple answer of one is bigger than the other. what I wanted to do was go home in the parking lot and look and see if one was a big difference in size or just a slight bit bigger but I couldn't get an answer from him. It's like he wasn't listening to me funny because I never said I want the insurance yet to put it on for two days cost me an additional $24. When we went back to complain that we were never asked about the insurance they simply said too late it's on there there's nothing we can change that is terrible terrible customer service. Specially since we never got good service from walking in. We weren't even asked if we wanted the additional items that they sold or rented there. It seems their goal was to get us in and out as fast as possible so they could go back to reading reviews. Well now you got some reading to do. I have rented trucks before from these rental companies and most will walk around the parking lot asking you what size you feel comfortable with if you're not sure what size you need. They also ask if you need additional services where you're moving from and to to get an idea of what they can sell you of course but it is a more helpful experience when they do it that way. The lady that worked there that helped with returning the truck was much more pleasant and personable. even though we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes to return the truck was still a better experience than getting in and out quickly in the beginning because she took the time to treat us like customers not inconveniences.it's not that we need any services at the time. My recommendation if you go here and know exactly what you need before you go there and make sure they don't rip your by pushing insurance on you without even asking you. Because if you need any help from them judging by who I had you won't get any. I think the worst part of all I was even busy when you went to pick up the truck You can imagine how bad service would be when they actually are busy.
I have rented trucks and vans from this u-haul many times in the last couple of years, but I have to say that in this occasion I got excellent service. I went today to rent a van for a week, I needed to deliver big boxes and they didn't fit in my car. I made my first delivery and when I got bac ...Morek I realized that it just wouldn't work for me. So I went back to U-haul it was 7:30pm and they close at 7pm. The person working today Ray Pollins decides to make an exception and change the van for a truck for me. I am really grateful that he did this for us, I really appreciated him opening the door after hours To help us out. Anyone else would have just said no that they were closed and we had to come back the next day. It's customer service like the one provided by Ray Pollins that make companies grow stronger and have a larger customer base thank you so much for everything.
The waiting to talk to the representative is forever, if you are in a hurry. Go to another place!
