We initially wanted to get a storage unit at the Greenpoint location for this business, which is closer to where we live, but we were directed here instead because they had availability in the size we wanted. The storage provides free pick-up, which was great. But they tell you you are supposed ...Moreto be the one moving your stuff which we were more than willing to do, but the movers insisted on helping us and wouldn't let us move our own stuff. This is nice in one way, but in another it means that you are forced to tip for a service you didn't need. Beware of the 'hidden' fees, ask about ALL Fees before you get a unit here. They will charge you $30 just for opening an account and 3% surcharge if you want to pay by credit card. The units they quote over the phone (i.e. the cheaper units) are wooden boxes that they forklift into stacks, so if you get one of those you have to call them a day ahead of time when you're going to stop by to use your storage unit and they're not the kind of units where I would want to put anything too valuable as you can't put your own locks on them.

Everybody there was helpful, even the dog! LOL The staff was awesome. I run a bussiness so it was great, when I had shipments arriving to the storage room they would hold on to them until i arrived. My business was closing and I had to store 300 boxes of filing quickly. Monica, the manager at Storage Plus in Long Island City helped me navigate getting the right size storage facility at the best price and was there to assist me with the details of moving into the storage space. I checked o ...Moreut other storage facilities, but none had the amount of space I needed for a very reasonable price. I had 10 ft ceilings so that I was able to set up shelving and stack boxes vertically and horizontally. Any time I called with questions, Monica was there to help me and to refer me to vendors who could help either with disposing or shredding documents. My experience has been very favorable. I asked for help when closing up my storage room, and Monica helped me save hundreds of dollars in referring me to a recycling vendor who would dispose of my unwanted files at a discounted price. I did not have to be at the facility to oversee the process since Monica saw to it that all was handled for me. I have referred other business owners to Storage Plus because of the excellent customer service as well as an immaculately clean and organized facility. Thank you to all at Storage Plus for making this part of closing my business a pain free experience. Many thanks to Monica for having customers feel so welcomed and taken care of.

After a huge move from one house to another, the wife decided that she wanted to get new furniture. new beds, new sofas, new tables, new armoire's, and the list goes on.... The kids "needed" bunk beds and new desks too... All of our existing stuff had sentimental value to me and I didn't want t ...Moreo let it go. A close friend told me about this location and said they could help me get everything I needed to store, stored on a budget. It took about an hour and a half to get everything from the rent-a-uhaul into a nicely sized room. (I was very surprised at the low price. They even gave me a free upgrade without me asking). I can now sleep easily knowing that my stuff is safe and secure until I need it again. Thanks to Storage Plus, keeping my stuff was a no-brainer.

I highly recommend Storage Plus in Greenpoint/LIC. They did a free pick-up (my driver named Alon, went out of his way to help me move all my stuff into the truck and organized it into my storage unit even though that's not included in the deal description), gave me a free month, and they were in ...Morecredibly nice. Just be sure to tip your driver. Such a great experience!
