I'm the superintendent for a thirty unit apartment complex in Brooklyn. These guys recently moved one of my tenants out. While they were here, they stuck business cards into every door jamb in the entire complex. They tacked them to every available bulletin board. They even took magnets from one ...More tenant's door, to stick a card to another tenant's door. I called their office to complain. They were very apologetic, said it would be corrected 'right away'. Two days later, I'm taking all the cards down and apologizing to my tenants for what appears for all the world to be a security breach. Not in ten years of working here have I encountered a company so brazenly rude. If you want a service provider that disrespects your property, and that of your neighbors, while leapfrogging you to their next client, these are the guys to call.

I needed to hire a moving company and was recommended Sarmiento after another moving company didn't show up. Sarmiento was 2 hours late but when I saw them work, it overshadowed all that. They are quick, efficient and take such great care of your property! I have a large American flag and one of ...More the gentlemen rolled it carefully with pride. It was humbling. They wrapped everything in plastic and put padding under furniture to keep them from scratching the floor. Usually, a good moving company who is insured will charge you $700+ for a 1 BR. They gave me a great price! If you need a mover who provides certificates of insurance, I highly recommend this company!

Who knew movers in NYC were so expensive. WOW. And I've heard horrible stories of movers trying to charge you more at drop off or holding your stuff hostage. Well that is not these guys. I found his business card visiting the building off of that negative comment below (Bret H). Ok, so maybe the ...Morey should have asked before papering the building - they didn't mean any harm. Anyway, Antonio and his guys where awesome, experts, and professional. They wrapped my bed mattress, couch, and ottoman so they wouldn't get dirty or torn at no additional cost. They were super quick in moving everything out of my old apt in Brooklyn and even quicker in getting everything into the new apt in Astoria. There was a little disagreement in initial price, to be fair I didn't realize I had more stuff then initially quoted. That was the only little hiccup but again he was super fair (only charged me 80 bucks more). The new price was STILL lower than any other quotes I had gotten. So as long as you are upfront of what you have or let him come do a walk through, you won't have any issues. I was so impressed by them I even recommended him to my boss about moving our Mid-town office to Chelsea...let's just say they busted a mission for us there. 5-more stars please! I'm on my third recommendation for them....so if you're are looking for a legitimate, professional mover hire these guys!

I first want to call out that I don't typically leave Yelp reviews. It's just not my thing, but I was so grateful of the job Sarmiento did that I had to break my rule to leave a review. Let us begin... I was put in charge to move my small company to our new office. We are a small startup with n ...Moreot much budget. A friend had recommended Sarmiento Movers and I have to say I have nothing bad to say about them. They came to my office to do an estimate and worked with me on the price to make sure I stayed within budget. We were moving from a very strict midtown building with a bout a million rules. The building was extremely unorganized and we had some last minute changes to the logistics of our move because of it. Sarmiento went with the flow and were extremely accommodating. Because of the last minute changes I had to be charged some additional charges, which I completely expected but even then they were reasonable. They could have taken advantage of my situation (like any other moving company would have), but they didn't. As for the move, they were organized, fast, and attentive of our things. Making sure to wrap everything up properly and to ensure that everything that we moved was moved with care.

I just want to say how great they are! I handled my move with Guadalupe and she got back to me right away. Took care of everything! They are friendly, efficient, and dependable. They were recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad she did. Will definitely use them in the future.
