This place is only open from 9am to 7pm during the week which if you work a 9 to 5 makes it very hard to access your property.

While the people working here are nice and accommodating there was multiple problems that I ran into while using this storage facility. One is that when moving items in and out you have to pull a cart down a rubber mat which bunches up and makes moving items a lot harder than carrying them some ...Moretimes. Secondly and the largest problem is that I believe someone sleeps in this facility over night and smokes cigarettes heavily. I woundn't have jumped to this conclusion however after having my items in storage here for only a month everything was completely damaged and unusable. Although we had our items wrapped in plastic, and sealed in plastic containers everything smells of cigarettes. So after a month of storage I ended up throwing away my couch, mattress, rugs and spent hundreds of dollars cleaning our clothes and other items that we stored here. This place was a nightmare and to make maters more frustrating I paid extra for BADER insurance and when I went to make a claim they sent me a letter stating they don't cover cost of mildew, or cigarette smell. So thank you for holding my stuff, it would have been cheaper to have thrown my stuff out and bought all new items which I ended up doing anyways! So if you don't mind cigarette smell or paying extra for insurance that does nothing then SAFE GUARD and BADER company is your place.

The facility is fine and the on-site staff are outstanding. The problem here is the price. Every year in May your rent will increase a minimum of 10%. This year mine went up 20%. I've been a customer since 2007, and 10-20% every year adds up over time. There are no rewards for being a good, ...More loyal customer or paying your bill on time. They have no concern with retaining customers. I've called and written the regional manager in the past when the rent went up, and he didn't care whether I left or not. The last time the rent got out of hand, I downsized to a lesser unit. I can't downsize anymore, so this time, I guess I'm moving out.

I've had the same issues with price increases every year of about 10 to 12% and they say its normal market rates! In one year it went up almost 30%!!! What a bunch of B.S. This is not the only Safeguard Self Storage that does this, they all do this!
