RIP OFF ALERT!!!! My husband physically went to this place on April 24th to reserve a U-Haul truck for tomorrow, May 9th. The total mileage we would have put on this truck would probably be about 10 miles round trip for the entire move. He was promised the truck would be ready at Paradise Spac ...Moree Center's facility in Newfoundland and even got a confirmation email. Today he gets a phone call letting him know the U-Haul is ready for pick up in Hamburg, NJ NOT Newfoundland, NJ, because owners went on vacation and the place was closed! Now we're expected to drive an additional 35 miles, round trip (over an hour of our time), just to pick up the truck!!! When my husband complained to U-Haul's main headquarters, they told him that there was nothing they could do about it, and as a way to apologize for the inconvenience of of ruining our moving day, and adding another 35 miles to our trip, they would only charge us 99 cents per mile instead of $1.09 per mile!!!!! Clearly, this is their ploy to bolster their revenues. Shame on you U-HAUL & PARADISE SPACE CENTER!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN.

Nope. All was good until they wound up owing me a nineteen dollar and change refund. When the check they sent to me was lost in the mail, they refused to cancel and send me a replacement check . They also refused to just give me the cash. Now they are claiming that the payments on my unit were ...Morelate, and that I was NEVER really entitled to a refund anyway. I should just accept things for as they are. Well..if that were the case, then WHY on EARTH did you send me a refund in the first place? And NOW you are changing your mind? Just nasty and they avoided my phone calls like I was diseased.
