This place made moving so convenient for me. I stored my stuff here over the summer so I could go home and not bring it all with me after moving out of the dorms. I love how they run the business, they're very organized and on time for pick ups and deliveries. If I were in need of storage again, ...More I'd definitely use city stash.

I'm not sure if there's multiple locations for this business, but I thought it would be perfect for me after discovering the website. I live in a studio and only have a few things to store and don't have a way to get it around, also didn't want to pay high prices for a whole storage unit. I was ...More anxious to get it done. The website stressed that I would only be charged for boxes used so I ordered extras. My furniture is unassembled, so I selected a few pieces from the site me I that I thought would specially represent my storage needs, assuming that i would be charged something reasonable and equivalent for space. I asked them if they could deliver the boxes sooner as well, they called and said they could, so I was delighted. Steve called me soon and seemed not very optimistic the first words out of his mouth were if I knew that there was a 3 month minimum. he called a few more times with questions and concerns about my stuff which i thought was odd and confusing. he said they would have to charge extra because the elevator is not working in my building, and it might take 2 people. since their site seemed to highlight furniture as something that they handle, i was surprised at them charging extra for stairs, not being prepared to move large things, etc. he also told me that they don't make money off of moving stuff, it's on storing it that they make money and they they usually lose money moving stuff so they need to charge plenty for doing this for me. (?!!) he even recommended i use another service because my furniture is not assembled. this all seemed very weird to me. i just wanted the stuff out and thought it was still a good match for me, thinking my stuff might cost more to get out, but the storage should be pretty reasonable since isn't really going to take up that much space. seeing that on their site, under custom items (up to 35 cubic feet was $29)- even if my stuff took the equivalent of 2 of those, which i knew it wouldn't, i would still be able to do that. after getting several calls, hauling the stuff out of all my closets and stuffing my apartment with it, i finally was asked to send photos to a person who called from there, expressing concerns. he then quoted me $200 a month for storing the items that i knew would be less than 35 cubic feet. he said they charged per item and not by the space. i said i was willing to pack, bundle these things up however necessary. i don't paying a bit more to get it moved, but i don't think i should pay that much for storage considering the space they would take. he emailed me saying they could go down to $110 which is still WAY more than the space equivalent description on the site. absolutely ridiculous.

There's nothing worse than getting just too small of a storage unit - or a storage unit that isn't open at the hours you need, getting a zip van, etc. Enter CityStash.
