I moved back to the Bay a little over a year ago and decided to rent a room from my sister to save money, especially since her house in Pacifica was pretty convenient. Having said that, I had way too much stuff to fit into one room and needed storage. I called around the area (Pacifica, Daly C ...Moreity, etc.) and each place was either completely full, they only offered really large or really small units, or their prices were ridiculous per month. Then I stumbled across Lighthouse Point Self Storage which had the unit size I needed at a decent price per month. I rented the unit immediately and they were happy to take care of my paperwork quickly after showing me the unit and setting up my access codes. I was able to move all my stuff in the next day (that day if I needed to). I have not had any problems with my unit, access or anything. They provide many types of dollys/handtrucks for you to use onsite when you are unloading to make your move easier. So far, so good. I have been storing my stuff there for a year now and will until I move into my own place.

We checked around all the local storage places when moving to Pacifica 20 months ago. Lighthouse had good rates, and we were impressed with the level of security. They really do everything they claim to do, because once when the computer didn't register my husband's going through the gate to lea ...Moreve, they called to make sure it was us who had accessed our unit (and would have scolded him for tail gating, if that had been the case) The office staff has always been very friendly, the hand carts and dollies they provide are very convenient, and we have been very happy with our unit. The only thing preventing me from giving them 5 stars are their hours. I know that the city restricts how late storage units can be open, but AFAIK, they are the only ones in Pacifica that close at 4 on Sundays, and since they close at 6 every other day, the weekends are our only opportunity to get there.
Second time to rent a storage unit. First of all the place is clean! Thats the reason I returned to store again. Secondly, the operating hours are decent although on Sundays they are closed. Each time I needed a place to store my "stuffs" the Lighthouse Point facility was able to accomodat ...Moree me. They do run pretty full and you may not be able to get a large unit when necessary. But I have always been lucky in getting what I needed. They provide flatbed hand trolleys to get from your unit to your vehicle. And also the stoage area and corridors are well lite with timed switches. Yes, energy efficiency too! The entire complex is very clean. I never see any build up of dust in the corridor or and debris blowing around in the VERY CONVENIENT parking lot. The place also feels safe. Even on those cold and rainy/windy days when you can hear the weather pounding outside. Inside feels... nice. Almost like your own garage. Strange but for me its very true. Fortunately I will be moving all of my stuff out of there to my new house in The City. But I will miss popping in there from time to time to pull out camping gear or whatever... Update: My last day there was a little disappointing. Because I cancelled my unit contract on the 17th instead of the 15th (or something like that) they charged me a freakin penalty! Yet they still gave me a few days into the next month. And I was out in three days after I closed off my contract. They actually blocked me out from the facility for a silly SIX DOLLARS!!!? That was pretty weak. From a perspective of customer to business relationships I dont get it! Then the girl behind the counter was just plain annoying. Sour grapes? Maybe... but it was wrong. But the facility is still pretty nice.
I inquired about renting a large storage unit from this company and wanted to have it set up in my businesses name since the majority of the items being stored (household applianced, furniture, and company files) were to be stored here for at least 6 months while suddenly having to move. The own ...Moreer was "uncomfortable" with renting to a business. I even offered to pay a year in advance so that I did not have to have the unit it my personal name. After all, business property should be stored thru the business for tax purposes. Once they stated that they were "uncomfotable" with doing this, the unit all of a sudden was unavailable because it needed to be prepped for the rainy season....I asked.....then why did you allow me to come look at the unit? I received no answer. I called back the next day to see when the unit would be available and said that I would put the unit in my personal name if it was a problem. I was told: "The owner is uncomfortable with renting the unit to you regardless because your story has changed and she does not understand the situation and why it is so important to have it in the companys name". I stated "Are you now telling me that you will not rent tome when I am willing to pay a year in advance and put it in my personal name?" The answer from the gal was "yes". I told her that this was a poor way to do business and that if the owner was so confused she should have had the decency to call me and to look at all legitimate california corporate business records I provided along with all my information to know that I was a legitimate and honest business person. This was a horrid experience that took almost 2 full weeks just to be turned down! YOU SUCK LIGHTHOUSE POINT SELF STORAGE!!!! Nice way to get a good business relationship going. I will not refer your services to anyone!
Lighthouse Point Self Storage Rocks!! My husband and I moved out of our 3 bedroom house this weekend and didn't think we would need a storage space so we didn't even look into researching prices of local storage places. But alas, all our stuff (mind you collected over the last 4 years) did not ...Morefit in my mother in-laws garage as we had hoped. We just had a few odds and ends to store until we buy our house. I did a search on yelp and yellow pages. The first place we called was nice but required a long term lease. Lighthouse was the second place we called. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and professional. She answered all our questions with a "smile". They do not require a lease; terms are month to month with a minimum of 1 month required. We only needed a 5x5 storage unit to store boxes. The monthly rent for that is only $57 and no deposit is required. So needless to say, we packed our stuff and were on our way within the hour. Where else can you call a place and move in your stuff all in the same day?? When we arrived we were greeted by the owner, JoAnn. She is very friendly, nice and professional. She has the main office decorated in a family type setting and the entire facility is VERY CLEAN! She even has little goodies at the front desk for everyone and a cute little table area to fill out all the paperwork. I felt like I was at a bed and breakfast. The grounds are secured by a coded entry and security cameras, and the units, elevator and hallways are immaculate. They even have the lights on a timer switch so they are energy efficient too! They also provide you with flat bed carts so you can easily load your items and take them to your unit. Bottom line, if you need a clean, safe and secure place to store your personal belongings then Lighthouse Self Storage is your place! I feel very comfortable knowing my stuff is secured within these walls. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Lighthouse!!
