This guy is a rip-off artist! He quoted me a per hour rate; said they have boxes and will help pack the boxes, but never happened to mention that he charges extra for the boxes. I used 29 boxes, many of them packed only 1/2 full (at owner's directing) - and was charged an extra $325!!! not for ...More the service of packing, which was included, but for the cardboard!!! His workers felt so bad. They said they usually pull the customer to the side and tell them about the hidden charge, but they thought that I knew already or they would have tipped me off. This man charged me $866 (for 5 hours), and wanted cash; when I gave him $900 in hundred dollar bills, he said he didn't have the change and asked if he could keep it! When I asked him to get change, he went down to the truck and sulked, and when I chased him down for it, he said "What'm I s'pposed to do?" (I got the change myself) The workers did a great job. They are paid $7 an hour, though they did ALL of the work. All the "owner" did was order them to use more boxes than were actually needed so that many of the boxes ended up 1/2 full. I didn't have any faith that the tip money would get to the workers, so I tipped them on the side. Oh, and this "company owner", after concluding business with me, must have taken my copy of the bill off my kitchen table, when I wasn't looking. I guess he was scared I'd take him to small claims court!

I called JR on short notice and they were able to move me the same day. Excellent job. I was very happy. I called the office to thank them for a good service and I know I would recommend them to all my friends and family. Thank You JR!

Alright I don't know what the person on top is talking about, but when I hired these guys they were great. First of all the foreman explained EVERYTHING to me. I was told what the prices for everything were and he recommended what I should do with all my items based on experience. I had a who ...Morele house to move and they were able to finish the job in under 6 hours. All the workers were courteous and professional. The foreman and workers were ALL American and spoke English, which I consider a big plus when explaining where and what you want packed. Although the price was quoted higher than some other discount movers, I warn you to stay away from the discount movers because it will cost you in broken items. My last move half my Vase's and Ceramics were chipped and cracked because I hired one of those discount place cough Half Price cough. I would definitely recommend these guys to a friend, the business is family owned and operated and the staff were really funny and easy to work with.

Another Rip-Off moving company. The inventory lists they write up of your personal property is crap. Just chicken scratch which makes no sense to even the boxes they label. I actually had two of the packers ask if they could have some of my personal property. Wow... So if I say yes, I lose. If ...MoreI say no, they probably steal it anyways. WTF. Yes I did have personal property stolen from me that I discovered as missing after my move. These guys have no morals, plus they wreck damage on your personal goods and don't pay claims.

I am so glad I found them! When I was ready to look for a moving company for my move, I randomly picked JR Moving (David and his crew) to do the job. So happy I ended up with them! Everything you'd expect from a mover was on mark! Especially for a day like this, it's already nerve wracking, but ...Morethey made it easy, were very professional, accommodating, careful, and just really nice!! And that goes for all the staff in the office as well. The paper work with insurance was last minute and challenging to coordinate, but everything went just well in the end. I would definitely recommend JR Moving to anyone! Thank you JR Moving!!
