I needed storage for about a month. I stopped in and spoke with Karin . She quoted me one number and told me the second month would be free . Yes, I have this in writing. I stopped back a week later to reserve the space and there was a different person there. This person, Linda , then quoted me ...Morea different price and told me the first month was free . Ok, that sounded weird, especially since I only needed it for 1 month. So I sorta questioned that and she got very rude and condescending. I just wanted out so I reserved my storage space and left. I then stopped in last week because I needed to pay for the remaining 2 weeks. Again, Linda was there. She was rude and weird. She tells me I take my total and divide the number of days I need it for. She then tells me the computer is set up so I'd only pay till the 15th (even though I told her I need it till the 16th). I asked what will happen if I try to access the gate on the 16th. She tells me there's a one day grace period. Ok, sounded weird but ok. So I ask her how much will I need to pay. She writes down 2 different #'s. one that now includes the 16th. So I questioned it and her nasty response was "mow I know why the others work the way they do" I asked her what that meant and she just brushed it off. So I return today to pay for the upcoming 2 weeks and Linda is there again. She tells me I owe about $11 more than what she wrote down. I questioned her math. She tells me she's not good with numbers. So she used her calculator which turns out, was programmed to round UP. So the new # is actually about .50 more a day. So I took out my calculator and showed her that her new quote was wrong. She tells me to leave that she didn't want to deal with me anymore. I said, no, I'll stand right here till the manager comes or I'll call the police.she was freaking out how her math was right. Then all of a sudden she flips a button on the calculator and tells me it was calculating wrong. NO KIDDING. THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING...She then made a comment that I was making a big deal over $11. So I said if its not a big deal then she can pay that $11 for her error. She kept saying how everyone tells her she's the nicest person they've ever worked with...REALLY? I felt she was strange and inappropriate. never mind that they are inconsistent with their pricing and quotes. Also, no one ever returned any of my calls so it forced me to return to the location each time I had any sort of question. Use public storage across the street... I will never use this central storage again.

Great place if you need to store your belongings. Clean and brightly lit. Staff is always helpful and very nice. Glad we choose Central Self Storage in Island Park.
MOLD EVERYWHERE!!! Do not use this facility. Our stuff was in storage for 3 months and is covered in mold. Managment is ignoring the problem. It's on the walls and ceiling.
Complete rip off for existing loyal customers who pay their bill on time every month. Been with them 11 yrs. and price keeps going up. Paying $236 monthly now and same unit advertised on line for $171! Called and was told the longer you are there, the more they charge for the unit. So, their pol ...Moreicy is to penalize long-standing good customers! Was told if I move my stuff to the same size unit at the same facility, then I can get the $171, but that it will continue to go up from there. Why not just give me my unit for that price? Cannot wait to shop around and get my stuff out of there! Sure we can find even cheaper than $171. Maybe they all work the same? Terrible practice!
I just vacated, 7/12/22, the Island Park, NY location after 3 months. Great place,,as clean as clean can get. Very well run by Tom., Carol & Linda. I would recommend this place to anyone. The negative reviews below must be old before this management team took control. Absolutely no mold any ...Morewhere,, bathroom's very clean,, all around nice.
