The Property Manager and Trainer, Melina Snow, did me a huge favor by putting my belongings back in my unit when I got locked out of the facility at 4pm on a Sunday. The locking system is no joke. Let's be honest, moving and needing to pay for storage is not the most fun thing to do on a sunny Bay Area weekend. I wasn't in the best of mood when I walked in to inquire about pricing and availability, especially after leaving another local storage facility where I had to deal with a rude fro ...Morent counter employee. So when Melinda greeted me with a smile, my mood changed real quick. I explained to her what size I needed, she offered to show me a unit that was available and gave me pricing. This facility is so clean and has great security and I'm glad I stopped in. I rented a unit and so has my aunt because of the great experience and facility

So this is the first storage unit I've ever used so I have no idea what the typical expectations are, but I have to say it's not nearly as bad as the 1 and 2 star reviews are making it out to be. I started renting a unit in March and have been at least a dozen times and am extremely pleased with ...More the customer service here. I was a confused soul when I started the process, but the people over the phone and the Property Manager, Melina, who helped me set-up on my first day were incredibly helpful and patient. They usually only have one staff member on-site and they never fail to be a warm welcome face when I head over. I especially appreciated when they gave me a lock for my locker (equipped with 2 keys) since I didn't bring one. I pay $135/month for a relatively small locker with limited light. I ended up buying some motion-sensor lights to help with this issue. The location must be pretty popular because they didn't have a ton of options to choose from when I started my search, but ultimately ended up going with them due to convenience. They let you park out front for free for loading purposes! Don't make the mistake of parking on a side street and doing 10 painful trips back and forth.

RUN!!! RODENTS INFESTED MY DAUGHTER'S STORAGE UNIT! SHE ONLY HAD A UNIT AT THIS FACILITY FOR ABOUT 1.5 MONTHS! In that VERY short time-frame, rodents over-ran her unit, DEFECATING, URINATING, NESTING AND RUINING HER BELONGINGS! SHE HAD INSURANCE-the very INSURANCE the CSS manager recommended ...More. However, the insurance company said the rental facility is the party responsible for all the damage! THE UNPROFESSIONAL LOCAL MANAGER did nothing to mitigate the loss and tried to passively imply that my daughter could somehow potentially responsible for her items being infested!!! The nerve!!! The Manager refused to provide us with her superior's or corporate offices' contact information so we could escalate our grievance (which included making the false commitment to provide safety and cleaning items--- instead of doing the right thing and cleaning the health hazard FOR my daughter)!!!! Meaning----They knowingly compromised the health and well-being of my daughter by essentially forcing her to deal with the disgusting cleanup effort, herself!!!!! THIS IS BEYOND EGREGIOUS! We have and are reporting Central Self Storage to the state and city health authorities--we are filing formal complaints. The Environmental Health inspector showed up...Their employee refused to let him in to inspect the facility!!!! SOOOOOO SKETCHY! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! We will make sure CENTRAL SELF STORAGE AND THEIR UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT is held totally accountable, and more importantly--we will do everything we can as consumers to make sure Central Self Storage doesn't endanger any of their tenants or their personal belongings EVER AGAIN!
