We live in the condo building that is above this garage and have been monthly parking customers here for about three years. We have not had much issue over the years, except that the people working in the office are exceptionally rude. This was never that much of an issue for us because you on ...Morely have to go there once a month to pay your bill and could generally shrug off their poor attitudes. However, we recently had an issue come up that was too egregiously absurd to let slide. As I mentioned, we have been monthly parking customers for almost three years. We park two cars there and have always paid our monthly bill when it is due. Anyway, here is the situation: I am selling one of our cars and the car will be sold and picked up sometime by 12/09 (today is 12/05). Because if this situation, and knowing that our parking bill is due today, I went to the office to tell them I would be canceling one of my monthly parking passes and that I would like to know my options for settling up with them. The short story is, there are no options - you wither pay for a full month with no refund, or you can't park in the garage. They were completely unwilling to do anything. They would not let me pay for the first nine days of the month, the first 15, or the first anything - just full payment for the month. I have made a few calls and sent a customer service request to Central Parking, so I will update this if they decide to do anything about it, but I'm not counting on it. My general feeling is that if you have a long-standing relationship with a company, they should show some interest in maintaining that relationship and acting responsibly. There are a few other options in the area, including Edison Parking. It is not as convenient, but we work in NYC and rarely drive anyway. Bleh!
