This review is based on a phone conversation and internet research, not an actual customer relationship. I just spoke to Rose on the phone. Rose claimed that her company, "NY Budget Movers" at 2321 Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047, is a different company from "NY Budget Movers" at 1126 42nd ...More Street Apt 3, Brooklyn, NY 11219, which already has its own Yelp page. Hence, I am adding this business to Yelp via my review. Though Rose claimed that these were different business and that her company, in New Jersey, did not yet have a Yelp page, at least three Yelp reviews on the Brooklyn address refer to her. She also quoted me the same $986 rate for a minimum move that another customer referred to on the Brooklyn business's Yelp page. She claimed that her company is listed on Citysearch, Thumbtack, and the Better Business Bureau. However, I followed up, and ALL of these sites have either reviews and/or contact for the Brooklyn business, not New Jersey, and at least one of which also refers to Rose by name. The owner seems to go by the name of Rashad Ibrahim and/or Abraham R. It seems the company is using a variety of deceptive practices including flat out lying about their history. Do your research and/or ask Rose to explain herself before considering this company.

This IS the same as NY Budget movers in Brooklyn. They keep trying to change names and locations but they are the same company that lies and screws over their clients. Absolute worst experience ever. as all the reviews will say on the Brooklyn yelp page with the same name, DO NOT USE THIS COMPA ...MoreNY! they should be shut down immediately for their unethical practices! Thank you Stephanie W for writing that , you are lucky to not have gone with this company. if you are reading this and also had a bad experience, please report it to the BBB and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin. and add your review here and on Brooklyn page to warm people against them!

Shame on me for not researching further, I was quoted $500 and four movers. gave a description of every piece of furniture. Made the deposit and set the date. On the day I received 3 movers the one in charge with a chip on his shoulder. Took a look around told me $1700 cash upfront. I called Ros ...Moree who I had made reservations with. I got Jenny (RUDE). I tell her what the mover is saying she is tells me. He's there I'm not, won't acknowledge I have her on speaker and please talk sense to the mover. He left! Took his truck and left calls me 5 mins later (my boss said $1500 upfront. I ask him can I give you half and do a walk through once my belongings are moved. He said no if we damage something take a picture and email it. I am still practically crying with jenny on the phone who is telling me find another moving company today (almost impossible and it's Friday 11am). The mover said the same thing to me. Jenny told me a fee was added cause the driver had to walk far from that truck and building. HE WAS PARKED I front of the building. He said I had too much furniture but he had an inventory I gave Rose over the phone so he knew what to expect. After Jenny yelled at me and told me "what do you want? Want me to help you find a mover!" I was called back from Erica who said my boss says $1050 they will do it yet the mover is on my other line saying $1500. I pushed my move a day and used a real moving company. Scam artist!!! Not recommend, they catch you when you are vulnerable and will pay anything because you are in a jam. I called back asking for my deposit they said we are keeping it. Worst experience!!!!!

I was helped by Jenny. I was hestitant to try budget movers because of what i had heard however i gave it a shot. Jenny not only helped me with my move but also helped take a weight off my shoulder . My things arrived here in 3 days as she said. She worked with me as far as price.

I needed the assistance of the salesperson to arrange this move from NY to VA. I am from NC, was doing this for a friend and have never even been to NY! I explained my situation to the salesperson and asked "REPEATEDLY" what types of things would cause extra charges? Apparently, there are many p ...Moreossible charges in NY. I made sure ALL charges were covered short of extra belongings not accounted for. I understand that. On the day of pick up, the truck driver told my friend she had to pay $150 more since he couldn't get close enough to the building - "extra walking"? Yes, it is in the contract, but it doesn't mean anything to me. Why wouldn't you be able to park at the building? I've never been to NY and this company specializes in NY moves. They moving company said they wouldn't know if the bldg had a loading dock and this is info they couldn't know until moving day. Well, they could ask if theres a loading dock and can't they use Google Earth to see the area. In addition, all they had to do was tell me the possibility of the charge and it would of been fine. I asked them to remove the $150 fee due to the actions of the salesperson and I was basically told that they didn't charge me for a second stop and so we can pay the extra. What?! Please tell me this isn't the way company's in NJ do business; with a lack of ethics and morals. It wouldn't fly in the South where you don't even need a written contract - your word is still worth something. I will add in, delivery was due yesterday. Didn't happen. I called today for the delivery time and they don't know. I will be called back after the driver calls in. Maybe this is normal. I expect a call should of been made yesterday to update us on the location of the belongings. The company who figures out Service Excellence will take away all of these companies business in one swoop.
